A custom, season-aligned hair color formula created from your headshots and Color Analysis results, then refined with you on Zoom to match your lifestyle, maintenance level, and desired look.
You already know your season. Now you need hair color that actually honors it.
This service is for individuals who have completed a Seasonal Color Analysis (with any analyst or system) and want a professional hair color formulation that aligns with their palette, supports their natural features, and removes the guesswork. I take your existing Color Analysis results and translate them into a precise, wearable hair color plan, built around the three pillars that determine whether hair color looks harmonious or “off” on you: undertone, value (depth), and intensity (clarity).
Why this is different
With over two decades behind the chair as a Master Hair Colorist and advanced color educator, I approach this service differently than a typical “shade recommendation.” Formulation is not aesthetic guesswork, it is technical precision. I’ve spent years training professionals on how undertone, value, pigment selection, and placement strategy change the way color reads on the face in real lighting. This consultation merges that professional formulation expertise with your Seasonal Color Analysis results, so your final plan is not only season-appropriate, but also executable in the real world, with clear direction a colorist can follow and results you can maintain.
What This Consultation Does
Most people leave their Color Analysis with great wardrobe guidance but no clear direction for hair. The result is often a color that is technically beautiful, but not season-appropriate: too warm, too cool, too muted, too intense, too dark, or too light for the client’s natural contrast.
In this consultation, I bridge that gap by developing multiple hair color options that respect your season while still giving you real choice. Then, in a Zoom session, we select the most flattering direction based on your goals and lifestyle.
How It Works
Step 1: Headshot Evaluation + Review of Your Results
You submit clear headshots and current hair photos (plus your season and any notes from your analyst). I evaluate your natural coloring, contrast, and existing hair history to ensure the recommendations stay true to your palette and your overall harmony.
Step 2: Curated Hair Color Options (2–4 Directions)
I develop a small set of season-aligned options tailored to you, such as:
- Brighter vs. softer variations within your palette
- Slightly lighter vs. deeper directions that still suit your season
- Tonal direction that matches your undertone and intensity
- Dimensional strategies (highlight/lowlights/face framing) that support your natural contrast and features
Step 3: Zoom Consultation (Lifestyle + Desires)
We meet on Zoom and I walk you through each option, explaining exactly why it works for your season and how it will read in real life. Together we choose the final direction based on:
- Your maintenance preferences (low vs. high touch)
- Your schedule and lifestyle
- Your style goals (subtle refinement vs. noticeable transformation)
- Your comfort level with warmth/coolness, depth, and brightness
- Your budget and timeline
Step 4: Your Custom Formula + Professional Application Plan
You receive a clear, professional formulation tailored specifically to you, designed to honor your season while also accounting for your real hair history and desired outcome. Your plan is built around:
- Undertone (warm/cool/neutral direction consistent with your season)
- Value (the depth level that best supports your natural contrast)
- Intensity (muted/soft vs. clear/bright tone selection based on your palette)
In addition to the shade direction, you’ll receive a complete formulation roadmap, which may include:
- Your specific hair color formula (and alternative options when appropriate)
- Recommended developer strength selection aligned with the goal (deposit, grey coverage, refinement, etc.)
- Processing time guidance based on industry standards and the product category being used
- Application best practices (sectioning approach, saturation strategy, sequencing, and placement notes)
- A clear plan for refresh appointments, toning/glossing (if needed), and maintenance guidance
Two Ways to Execute
Option A: Take the Formula to Your Colorist
If you already have a trusted colorist, I provide the guidance they need to execute accurately and keep the result aligned with your season, including how to approach developer choice, timing, and application strategy for your selected direction.
Option B: Book With Me in Los Angeles
If you are in LA (or willing to travel), I can apply the color myself. In-salon application is quoted separately and scheduled based on availability.
Who This Is For
- Anyone who has a Color Analysis but still feels unsure about what hair color truly suits them
- Clients whose current hair color feels like it “wears them” instead of enhancing them
- Anyone who wants a professional formula grounded in harmony, not trends
- Clients who want clarity and confidence before committing to a color change
What You’ll Walk Away With
A season-aligned hair color direction you can commit to with confidence, plus a professional formulation plan that translates your Color Analysis into a real, executable result, including formula direction, developer guidance, timing notes, and application strategy.
Note: All formulations and timing/developer guidance are provided as professional recommendations and should be executed according to manufacturer instructions, hair history, and a strand/patch test when appropriate. If I apply your color in LA, execution is handled directly in appointment.
