Cellophanes is Sebastian’s breakthrough semi-permanent color clear shine of ammonia-free colorizing gloss treatment. Inspired by the vibrant natural colors in the spice souks of Tunisia, Cellophanes was the world’s first semi-permanent professional color, launched in 1976. Cellophanes has a formula that strengthens hair, preserves moisture and enhances the shine of each strand with translucent, natural-looking color.

Anionic dyes deposit on the outer layer of the hair cuticle rather than breaking through it like most direct dyes – so each strand is layered with transparent, shiny color and gorgeous gloss for up to four weeks. Perfect for natural or color-treated hair craving an instant boost.

Free from ammonia, alcohol and peroxide, Cellophanes is a ‘hair-friendly’ color gloss. As well as heightening the reflectivity of each strand, Cellophanes strengthens hair, preserves its natural moisture balance and provides UV protection. Cellophanes is a semi-permanent colorant with a low-acid pH (2.8 – 3.3). This means the cuticle is kept tightly closed, allowing Cellophanes color molecules to deposit on the surface of the hair and build translucent, shiny layers of color around each strand that lasts up to 4 weeks.

Refresh color intensity and restore healthy, vibrant shine between color services

1. SHAKE WELL TAKE A STRAND TEST.
2. Shampoo, and towel dry hair to 75% dry.
3. Apply cellophanes, beginning 1/8 inch from scalp and combing thoroughly through hair.
4. Wrap hair in reusable plastic cap and place under dryer for 15 to 20 minutes. *Processing time will vary depending on porosity of hair.*
